Renault Bridger concept unveiled; previews upcoming compact SUV

KATHMANDU: The Renault has revealed the Renault Bridger Concept, previewing a new compact SUV that is expected to launch in India by the end of 2027.

The Bridger is a sub-4-meter SUV concept featuring a boxy and rugged design. It has an upright stance and 200 mm ground clearance, supported by large 18-inch alloy wheels.

At the front, the SUV features a gloss black panel with illuminated Renault lettering and a distinctive LED lighting setup. It also gets a two-tone clamshell bonnet and a chunky front bumper with a silver insert.

The side profile includes flared wheel arches, an angular body design, and a flat roofline. At the rear, the SUV has dual LED taillights and a side-hinged tailgate with a spare wheel mounted at the center. Additional design elements include black fender extensions, roof rails, and rear door handles integrated into the C-pillars.

Renault has not revealed the interior of the Bridger concept yet. However, the company stated that the cabin will offer 200 mm of rear knee room and 400 liters of boot space.

The production version of the Bridger will be built on the R-GMP platform. It is expected to be offered with multiple powertrain options, including petrol, hybrid, and fully electric variants.
