KATHMANDU: Bajaj Auto is developing a new adventure motorcycle aimed at the entry-level ADV segment. The model has been spotted in India undergoing testing and appears to be in an advanced stage of development.
Spy shots suggest this is not just an adventure-styled version of an existing roadster. The overall design, proportions, and hardware indicate a purpose-built ADV with both touring and light off-road capability.
The test bike features long-travel suspension, with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It also gets wire-spoke wheels, reinforcing its off-road focus.
Other visible elements include a raised front fender, wide handlebars, and an upright riding position. The motorcycle has a single-piece seat, a rear-mounted top box, and an upswept exhaust.
Reports indicate that the bike could be powered by a KTM-derived 350cc liquid-cooled engine. Official specifications are yet to be confirmed.
