KATHMANDU: MG is set to unveil a new small electric car concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The model is expected to preview the upcoming MG2, which is scheduled to enter production next year.
MG has released teaser images showing the front, rear, and side profiles of the new EV. The company says the concept introduces a new design direction for its future small electric vehicles. The design is different from recently launched models such as the MG 4 EV Urban and MG S5 EV.
According to reports, the production version of the concept is likely to be called the MG2..

The MG2 is expected to focus on value rather than being the cheapest model in its segment. MG says it aims to offer more features and practicality at a competitive price.
The new electric hatchback is expected to use the same modular platform as the MG 4 EV. It could also feature a rear-wheel-drive layout.
Along with the MG2 concept, MG will also showcase another electric vehicle design concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Further details about the second model have not been revealed.
