China’s “Presidential” car brand BAIC rolls into Nepal

KATHMANDU: BAIC, the Chinese automobile brand known for producing the official vehicles used by Chinese President Xi Jinping, has officially entered the Nepali market through Laxmi Group.

The arrival of BAIC marks another major addition to Nepal’s growing automotive market as demand for premium SUVs and technologically advanced vehicles continues to rise.

Backed by Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), the brand has built a strong reputation for its engineering, modern technology, and SUV lineup in China and several international markets.

It is also widely recognized for supplying state vehicles used by senior Chinese government officials, including President Xi Jinping.

Through its partnership with Laxmi Group, BAIC aims to offer Nepali customers a range of modern SUVs and mobility solutions, further expanding the country’s choices in the rapidly evolving automobile market.
