KATHMANDU: Ultraviolette Automotive is set to expand its presence in Nepal with the launch of the Ultraviolette X47 adventure electric motorcycle at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, which begins on August 11.
The motorcycle will be introduced by Vaidya’s Organization, the official distributor of Ultraviolette in Nepal. Customer deliveries and sales are expected to begin shortly after the launch. The company has already opened pre-bookings and is currently testing the motorcycle on Nepali roads.
The X47 will become the second Ultraviolette model available in Nepal after the F77 electric sports motorcycle. Vaidya’s Organization recently took over the brand’s distributorship, replacing its previous distributor.
The X47 is also expected to become Nepal’s first premium electric adventure crossover motorcycle.
While the X47 is available in five variants in India, Nepal will receive only the X47 and X47 Desert variants. Equipment levels differ depending on the variant.
The motorcycle features a futuristic adventure-inspired design with styling elements shared with the F77, including the signature LED headlamp. It also gets a tall windscreen, upright handlebar with knuckle guards, a single-piece seat, auxiliary lights, luggage mounting options, and panniers, making it suitable for touring and light off-road riding.
First motorcycle with integrated radar
One of the X47’s biggest highlights is its integrated radar system. Ultraviolette claims it is the world’s first motorcycle in its segment to offer this technology.
The motorcycle is equipped with the company’s HyperSense radar-assisted safety suite, which supports advanced rider assistance functions. The rear radar enables blind-spot detection, rear collision alerts, lane-change warnings, and overtaking assistance.
Selected variants also feature front and rear cameras. Besides functioning as dashcams, they support the ADAS system, while the rear camera also assists during parking.
Other features include switchable dual-channel ABS, four-level traction control, regenerative braking, hill-hold assist, dynamic stability control, and dual digital displays that allow riders to manage most vehicle functions.
The X47 is built on a steel trellis frame with a cast aluminum subframe. Suspension duties are handled by preload-adjustable upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking comes from Brembo disc brakes, while the motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tubeless tires.
Power comes from a 30 kW electric motor producing 610 Nm of wheel torque. It has a claimed top speed of 145 km/h and can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 2.7 seconds.
The X47 Desert is equipped with a 10.3 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed IDC range of 323 km on a single charge. Other variants use a 7.1 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 211 km.
The battery features a patented five-layer protection system covering mechanical, thermal, electrical, electronic, and software safety.
Ultraviolette has also introduced a 1.6 kW air-cooled onboard charger with the X47. Since the charger is integrated into the motorcycle, riders only need to carry a lightweight charging cable instead of a bulky external charging unit, making everyday charging more convenient.
