KATHMANDU: BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company have started production of the BMW F 450 GS in India. The new adventure bike is being manufactured at TVS’ Hosur plant near Bangalore.

Both companies have also announced a new production milestone of 200,000 units under their partnership.

The F 450 GS is a result of a collaborative effort between BMW Motorrad and TVS. It replaces the G 310 GS as the new entry-level ADV in the brand’s lineup.

The bike is based around a tubular steel frame. It gets a 43 mm KYB upside-down fork and a mono-shock at the rear. The suspension offers 180 mm of travel.

Power comes from a 450cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 47.5 BHP at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

As per the company, the BMW F 450 GS rollout marks another step in their joint production journey.
