KATHMANDU: Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD, has launched the new ATTO 1 (Seagull) hatchback in Nepal.
The launch took place at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo in Bhrikutimandap.
The BYD ATTO 1 is sold under different names globally. It is known as Seagull in China and Dolphin Surf in Europe. In Nepal, it will be sold as the ATTO 1.
The hatchback comes in two variants—Standard Range Dynamic and Long Range Premium.
The Dynamic variant is priced at Rs 2.895 million. The Premium variant is priced at Rs 3.295 million.
The Standard variant has a 30.08 kWh battery and a range of 230 km (NEDC). The Premium variant comes with a 38.88 kWh battery and offers a 300 km range.
Both variants support AC and DC fast charging. This marks the beginning of sales for BYD in the entry-level hatchback category in Nepal.
The ATTO 1 is compact and modern. It is 3780 mm long, 1715 mm wide and 1580 mm high, with a 2500 mm wheelbase.
The car features a minimalist design with a smart and connected cabin. It includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 7-inch digital instrument cluster is also included.
The company expects strong demand for the ATTO 1 in Nepal.
