KATHMANDU: The iCaur V23, a lifestyle off-road electric SUV from Chery Motors, has arrived in Nepal. SPG Automobiles, the official distributor of Chery Motors in Nepal, has imported the iCaur V23 to the country.
The company had planned to unveil the iCaur V23 at the NAIMA Mobility Expo held from August 6, but the plan was delayed due to a road blockage near the Tatopani border.
“The iCaur V23 has arrived in Nepal, but due to a landslide near Tatopani customs, it has not yet been brought to Kathmandu,” SPG Automobiles’ General Manager Gyanendra Chand told MeroAuto. “The landslide is being cleared, and it will likely reach Kathmandu within this week.”
Previously, the iCaur 03, introduced in Nepal, is being sold under the name Jaecoo J6 in the Nepali market. The new model, iCar V23, has been introduced under the iCar brand.
The electric compact SUV iCaur V23 appears to be influenced by the design of BAW’s BJ-212. With its lifestyle off-road styling, this EV is likely to attract the attention of many young customers.

The iCaur V23 SUV features a 100 kW rear-wheel-drive motor and a 60 kWh LFP battery pack with range of up to 400 km as per company.
The front profile of the SUV includes smoked front grille, round headlights and a square off-road face.
Features like a roof luggage rack, hidden door handles and an external storage container give the SUV a rugged appearance. It also has a side-opening rear door.
The interior of the iCaur V23 includes a 15.4-inch center touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, a 7-speaker audio system, a 90-liter underfloor trunk, under-seat compartments, an automatic parking system and a driver-assist system.
The iCaur V23 measures 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width and 2,735 mm in height.
With off-road capabilities, it has a ground clearance of 205 mm, an approach and departure angle of 43 and 41 degrees respectively.
The iCaur V23, set to launch by the end of next week, is estimated to be priced between Rs 4.5 to Rs 5 million.
