KATHMANDU: Dongfeng has launched the 2026 Nammi 01 EV in China with a fresh design, upgraded features, and a lower starting price.
The new model comes in eight variants, priced from around USD 8,400, with a limited-time offer at about USD 8,250 — nearly USD 2,000 cheaper than before.
.The updated Nammi 01 keeps its familiar compact and rounded shape but introduces a new “Spirit Green” dual-tone finish that pairs a green body with a white roof.
Other color options include Fantasy Purple/White, Golden Red/White, and Pink/White.
It continues to feature split headlamps, a connected LED daytime running light, and a black mesh lower grille. Higher variants get LED headlights, frameless doors, hidden handles, and stylish 17-inch alloy wheels.
The car’s dimensions remain the same at 4,020 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,570 mm in height, with a 2,663 mm wheelbase.
Inside, the cabin follows a simple and clean design with a 5-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch Full HD touchscreen. The infotainment system supports AI voice commands, dual-zone wake-up, and a new “pet mode” that maintains interior comfort when parked.

A new green interior theme is available, while higher trims add leather seats, 50W wireless charging, heated and ventilated front seats, and a six-way power driver’s seat with memory and welcome function. The rear seats fold flat, expanding storage space from 326 liters to 945 liters.
All variants are powered by a front-mounted The electric motor producing 70 kW (94 hp) and 160 Nm of torque. Two battery options are offered — a 31.45 kWh pack with 330 km range and a 42.3 kWh pack with up to 430 km range (CLTC).
The car also supports V2L external power output and comes with a 540° panoramic camera system. Safety features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Integrated Cruise Assist, and Automatic Emergency Braking.
With better technology, fresh color choices, and prices under USD 8400, the 2026 Nammi 01 aims to attract more budget EV buyers.

Positioned as an entry-level compact electric car, the Nammi 01 directly competes with models like the BYD Seagull, priced from USD 9,830 to 12,090, and the Geely Geome Xingyuan, which ranges from USD 9,700 to 13,920.
Introduced in Nepal in August 2024, the Nammi 01 hatchback has quickly gained popularity, with the official distributor, MAW Vriddhi, reporting 1,000 units sold within the first year of deliveries.
