Electric variant of Foton Tunland launched at Auto Show

KATHMANDU: Foton has launched electric variant of its popular Tunland pickup truck in the Nepali market.

MAW Vriddhi formally launched the eTunland on the fourth day of the NADA Auto Show in Kathmandu on Friday.

The eTunland, which will directly compete with the Riddara RD 6, is offered in a single two-wheel-drive variant. It is equipped with a 130 kW motor paired with a 88 kWh CATL battery, delivering a WLTP driving range of 350 kilometers. The pick-up truck has a payload capacity of up to 900 kilograms.

Customers booking the eTunland at the Auto Show can get a Rs 100,000 cash discount.

According to MAW Vriddhi, the strongest selling point of the eTunland is its eight year or 400,000 kilometers battery warranty. The company provides a five year or 200,000 kilometers on the motor.

The electric pickup is priced at Rs 6.999 million. MAW Vriddhi has offered a Rs 100,000 cash discount for customers booking the eTunland at the Auto Show, bringing the price down to Rs 6.899 million.

MAW Vriddhi has charging facilities at 125 locations across the country.
