Forthing EV to debut at NAIMA 2025 in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Laxmi E-Mobility is set to introduce the Chinese electric vehicle brand Forthing to Nepal with the launch of a premium electric SUV.

The vehicle will make its debut at the NAIMA 2025 auto expo, taking place from August 6 to 10 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

Laxmi E-Mobility is a part of Laxmi Group, one of Nepal’s most trusted business houses. The company has played a major role in Nepal’s automobile sector over the years, working with brands like Hyundai, BMW, SML ISUZU and Kaiyi.

Forthing’s first model in Nepal will feature a 64.4 kWh battery and a 99 kW motor. It offers a driving range of over 400 km, making it suitable for both city and long-distance travel. The electric SUV also includes a permanent magnet synchronous motor for smooth and efficient performance.

The official model name and price of the vehicle will be revealed at the launch event. The SUV is designed with a focus on comfort, smart features and modern styling.

Laxmi Group has also developed over 63 RE-Lax recharge points across Nepal to support the growing EV ecosystem. These stations provide both charging and repair services.

According to a spokesperson from Laxmi E-Mobility, the launch of Forthing reflects the company’s aim to bring global EV innovation to Nepal. The unveiling at NAIMA 2025 is expected to be one of the key highlights of the exhibition.
