KATHMAND: Mitsubishi has launched the all-new Eclipse Cross EV, a fully electric crossover offering up to 600 km of range. The model is now reaching European dealers, marking a key step in the brand’s electrification plan.
Built at Renault’s ElectriCity Douai Plant in France, the new Eclipse Cross is one of the first Mitsubishi vehicles developed under the Nissan-Mitsubishi-Renault alliance.
“At Mitsubishi, our goal is to expand electrified vehicles and support a carbon-neutral future,” said Takao Kato, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors. “The launch of the all-new Eclipse Cross EV is a major milestone in our European strategy.”

Mitsubishi describes the design as “Smart Armor,” combining a robust SUV look with modern EV styling. Inside, the cabin features a driver-focused layout with a 12.3-inch vertical touchscreen, Google built-in services, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.
The new model offers four driving modes: Personal, Eco, Comfort, and Sport. It also supports remote functions such as locking, charging, and software updates via the Mitsubishi mobile app.

For safety, the Eclipse Cross EV includes up to 20 driver-assistance systems, such as highway lane assist and rear cross-traffic alert.
The SUV uses an 87 kWh battery and a 160 kW (215 hp) motor producing 300 Nm of torque. DC fast charging at 150 kW can recharge the battery from 10% to 80% in about 25 minutes.
