KATHMANDU: Nissan has unveiled the new Kait SUV in Brazil. It will replace the Kicks and will be exported to more than 20 countries from 2026. The SUV comes with updated styling and a new name.

The Kait gets a cleaner and more upright design. It features split LED headlamps, new DRLs, a larger grille and refreshed alloy wheels. The rear has sharper tail-lamps and a bold ‘KAIT’ badge. The size remains close to the Kicks, with a length of 4,304mm and boot space of 432 liters.

Inside, the Kait has a black cabin with a familiar layout. It comes with a 7-inch digital cluster, a Pioneer 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a wireless charger. Higher trims also offer digital climate control, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and ADAS features.

Power comes from a 1.6-liter petrol engine producing 110hp and 146Nm, paired with a CVT gearbox. It is tuned for simple and efficient performance.

The Kait will serve as Nissan’s entry-level SUV in South America, replacing the aging Kicks with a more modern package.
