KATHMANDU: Norton Motorcycles has started road testing its upcoming Atlas GT in India. The adventure tourer was recently spotted near the TVS factory, marking its first appearance on Indian roads.

Unveiled at EICMA last year, the Norton Atlas GT features a semi-faired design and an upright riding position. The test unit was seen equipped with engine crash bars, raised handlebars with hand guards, a tall windshield, and an upswept exhaust.

The Atlas GT is powered by a 585cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing around 69 BHP.

Suspension duties are handled by upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. Braking is managed by disc brakes at both the front and rear.

According to media reports, the Atlas GT is expected to offer features such as an 8-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, multiple riding modes, traction control, and cruise control.
