Ola launches electric scooter with ADAS feature

KATHMANDU: Indian automaker Ola Electric has launched a new scooter in its S1 series in India. The Ola S1 Pro Sport comes equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), making it the first scooter with this feature.

The new S1 Pro Sport features a sporty design and is equipped with advanced features alongside ADAS. The scooter uses carbon fiber to reduce weight and enhance performance.

It is powered by a 5.2 kWh battery pack and a 16 kW ferrite magnet electric motor, capable of accelerating from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2 seconds. The scooter has a claimed top speed of 152 km/h and a range of up to 320 km on a full charge.

Deliveries of the S1 Pro Sport will begin only in January, according to the company.

The scooter features a sharp body design, sport-tuned telescopic forks at the front, preload-adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear, dual disc brakes, alloy wheels, 34-liter under-seat storage, full LED lighting with DRLs, a fully digital console, a compact windscreen and a newly designed seat.

The Ola S1 Pro Sport has been priced at 150,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the S1 Pro Sport will begin only in January, according to the company.
