KATHMANDU: The next-generation Hyundai Venue has been spotted testing in India, offering a first look at the upcoming facelift inspired by Hyundai’s premium SUVs. The new venue is expected to launch in India in October.
Spy images have revealed major exterior upgrades, as the new Venue includes new quad-LED headlights and connected daytime running lights (DRLs) inspired by the Creta. The front grille has been redesigned with rectangular slats replacing the previous blanked-off pattern, while L-shaped LED elements below the headlights borrow design ideas from the first-generation Palisade.
Other visible enhancements include new 16-inch alloy wheels, chunkier wheel arch cladding, a flatter window line, and a sportier rear profile featuring an extended roof spoiler and revised LED tail-lamps. The test car also showed all-wheel disc brakes, a feature previously exclusive to the sportier Venue N Line.
Safety and Tech Upgrades
The 2025 Venue is likely to introduce enhanced safety features, including a possible Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), an upgrade from the current model’s Level 1 suite. Front parking sensors have also been spotted, adding to the compact SUV’s safety features.
Although interior details are still under wraps, the new Venue is expected to feature a refreshed dashboard layout with larger infotainment and instrument screens, potentially borrowed from the Creta or Alcazar. Premium features such as a panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats may also be added in higher trims.
Powertrain Unchanged
Hyundai is expected to retain the current engine lineup for the facelifted Venue. It will come with an 83 hp 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol, a 120 hp 1.0-liter turbo-petrol and a 100 hp 1.5-liter diesel engine option.
Transmission options are also likely to remain the same, with both manual and automatic choices available for the petrol variants, and a manual gearbox for the diesel. It is not clear whether Hyundai will introduce newer options, such as the iMT (intelligent manual transmission), in the new Venue.
Likely Arrival in Nepal
Laxmi Intercontinental, Hyundai’s authorized distributor in Nepal, currently assembles both the Venue and Creta locally using CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits. Although there has been no official confirmation yet, the facelifted Venue is expected to hit the Nepali market shortly after its Indian debut.
Given Venue’s strong popularity in Nepal, the new model, with its updated styling, improved safety tech, and premium features, is expected to attract buyers looking for a modern, compact SUV.
