KATHMANDU: Simple Energy has launched its Gen 2 electric scooter lineup in India, with prices starting at 149,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom). The new range includes three variants; One, One S, and the new Ultra.
The Ultra variant sits at the top of the lineup and features a 6.5 kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of up to 400 km. It has a top speed of 115 km/h and accelerates from 0-40 km/h in 2.77 seconds.
The Simple One is offered with two battery options. The 4.5 kWh version delivers a range of 236 km and uses a 6.4 kW electric motor, enabling a 0-40 km/h time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 90 km/h.
The 5 kWh variant offers a 265 km range, features an 8.8 kW motor, reaches 115 km/h, and completes 0-40 km/h in 2.55 seconds.
The One S comes with a 3.7 kWh battery providing a range of 190 km. It is powered by a 6.5 kW motor, achieves 0-40 km/h in 3 seconds, and has a top speed of 90 km/h.
All Gen 2 models feature a redesigned 7-inch touchscreen dashboard with LTE connectivity via a 5G e-SIM, along with Bluetooth, navigation, and over-the-air updates. Additional features include traction control, cruise control, regenerative braking, TPMS, and park assist.
The scooters also offer a front glove box with a charging port and increased under-seat storage of 35 liters.
