KATHMANDU: Honda has started selling the X-ADV 750 maxi scooter in the Indian market.
The company has priced the premium adventure scooter at 1.19 million Indian rupees which is higher than the prices of many four-wheeler models available in India. It will be available in Pearl Glare and Graphite Black color options.
According to the company, since the scooter is being imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) rather than being produced locally, its price is comparatively higher.
Maxi scooters are becoming increasingly popular in recent years due to their ability to combine the practicality of traditional scooters with enhanced performance and comfort which make them suitable for both urban commuting and longer journeys. These scooters have larger engines compared to regular scooters and and are capable of achieving higher speeds.
The X-ADV comes equipped with a 745cc parallel-twin cylinder engine, capable of producing 58 bhp and 69 Nm of peak torque.
With a bold and premium touring design and off-road capabilities, the X-ADV comes equipped with a 745cc parallel-twin cylinder engine, capable of producing 58 bhp and 69 Nm of peak torque. It features a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) automatic gear-shifting system for a smooth riding experience.
Designed for both off-road and on-road terrains, the scooter comes with wire-spoke wheels, dual disc brakes in the front and a single disc in the rear, a tubular steel frame, dual-channel ABS and an adjustable windscreen. The scooter features USD forks up front and a monoshock suspension with preload adjustability at the rear.
The X-ADV includes attractive features like full LED lighting, daytime running lights (DRLs), dual headlamps, a stylish low-seat design and a 5-inch TFT digital display with Honda RoadSync system. Riders can access turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, music controls and voice commands directly from the screen, according to the company.
Other advanced features include Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), a 22-liter under-seat storage compartment, a ride-by-the-wire throttle system, a USB Type-C charging port, and four riding modes—Standard, Sport, Rain, and Gravel.
