KATHMANDU: Agni Incorporated Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of Mahindra in Nepal, has launched the Mahindra ZEO—a new light commercial electric pickup—in the Nepali market.
The pickup will go into sales after the announcement of the budget for the fiscal year 2025/26, according to the company.
Designed specifically for urban transport, the Mahindra ZEO is equipped with a 21.3 kWh IP67-rated battery and offers a claimed driving range of up to 160 km. The ZEO is powered by a 30 kW motor, which, according to the company, enhances range and keeps energy consumption low due to its compact size.
The pickup boasts a payload capacity of 765 kg and a top speed of 60 km/h which makes it well-suited for hauling goods within the city.
Key features in the ZEO include a smart gear shifter, a tight turning radius of 4.3 meters for easy maneuverability in narrow streets, 180 mm of ground clearance and a 2500 mm wheelbase for improved stability and handling. The vehicle is under four meters in length and provides a cargo space of 2.2 meters. It supports both AC and DC charging options.
The ZEO is expected to be priced at around Rs 2.1 million in Nepal.
