KATHMANDU: The MG S5 electric SUV is now available at attractive prices with festive offers. Paramount Motors, the official distributor of MG in Nepal, has announced special schemes across its vehicle lineup, making the S5 more affordable for buyers.
The MG S5 was launched in March and is available in three variants. It comes with two battery options, 49 kWh and 62 kWh. The 49 kWh pack is offered in Comfort and Luxury variants, while the 62 kWh pack is available only in the Luxury variant.
The official prices start at Rs 4.39 million for the Comfort variant, Rs 4.99 million for the Luxury (49 kWh) and Rs 5.49 million for the Luxury (62 kWh).
Under the festive scheme, buyers can get cash discounts of up to Rs 250,000. With this offer, the Comfort variant is priced at Rs 4.29 million, the Luxury (49 kWh) at Rs 4.74 million and the Luxury with the large 62 kWh battery at Rs 5.24 million.
Along with discounts, Paramount Motors is also offering one-year Auto Plus insurance and a free home charger of either 3 kW or 7 kW.
The MG S5 features a 12.8-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch driver display, three driving modes, heated and ventilated seats, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and built-in apps such as YouTube, Spotify and TikTok.
It also comes with a 360-degree camera, six airbags and ADAS Level 2 for added safety. The SUV runs on a 99 kW rear-wheel-drive motor with 250 Nm torque and offers a driving range of up to 430 km on a single charge.
For those opting for finance, banks are providing auto loans at interest rates between 6.5% and 8%. At a 7% interest rate, the monthly installment for the entry-level Comfort variant comes to Rs 38,930.
Buyers need to make a down payment of Rs 1.71 million, while the remaining Rs 2.57 million can be paid through 84 installments.
