KATHMANDU: Paramount Motors, the official distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has launched the MG Windsor EV in the country.
Two variants of the electric car have been introduced: Excite and Exclusive, priced at Rs 3.799 million and Rs 3.999 million, respectively.
Manufactured in India under the JSW MG partnership, the Windsor is MG’s second India-made electric vehicle in Nepal after the Comet EV. It is positioned to compete with popular models like the BYD Dolphin and aims to offer a strong mix of features, performance and value.
The Excite variant is equipped with a 38 kWh battery and a 134 bhp electric motor, offering a certified range of 332 km. It supports both AC and DC charging. The DC fast charger can charge the battery from 0 to 80% in around 55 minutes, while a full charge using a 7.4 kW AC charger takes about 6.5 hours. The car features a 5-seater layout and a spacious 604-liter boot, making it suitable for daily commuting and family use.
For safety, it includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold. It also has all four disc brakes, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers.
The Exclusive variant adds more premium features, including 18-inch alloy wheels, smart flush door handles, a larger touchscreen, digital driver display, a 360-degree camera, leatherette seats and a six-speaker sound system.
Both variants share the same powertrain, ensuring consistent performance.
With the launch of the Windsor EV, Paramount Motors aims to expand MG’s presence in Nepal’s growing EV market and provide customers with a modern and reliable electric vehicle choice.
