KATHMANDU: The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has provided emergency assistance to the Department of Transport Management and the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office following damage caused during the recent Gen Z movement.
The support was formally handed over on Tuesday by a NAIMA team led by President Ritu Singh Baidya, along with Board Member Yamuna Shrestha and Executive Director Rajkumar Dulal.
As part of the assistance, NAIMA reconstructed all damaged windows and doors of the main building of the Department of Transport Management in Min Bhawan. In addition, essential items including furniture, furnishings, computers, and printers were provided to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
Rajiv Pokharel, Director General of the Department of Transport Management, thanked NAIMA for its timely support, stating that the emergency assistance played a crucial role in enabling the department to resume services from its own premises.
Similarly, Senior Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Adhikari, Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, appreciated the institutional and member-level support from NAIMA. He noted that NAIMA has quickly established itself as a reliable partner in traffic education and management, fostering long-term cooperation since its establishment.
NAIMA President Baidya said the association was proud to offer support during a time of crisis. She reaffirmed NAIMA’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with public service agencies and continuing cooperative efforts in the days ahead.
