KATHMANDU: Nissan has announced plans to launch three new vehicles in India, starting in 2026. The lineup includes a compact MPV, a midsize SUV and a 7-seater SUV.
The first new model from Nissan will be a B-segment MPV, set to launch in February 2026 and expected to be based on the Renault Triber.
By mid-2026, the company will introduce a new 5-seater SUV that will compete with popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Skoda Kushaq. In early 2027, Nissan will launch a bigger 7-seater SUV with a different design from the 5-seater model.
Nissan Motor India MD Saurabh Vatsa said the company is committed to the Indian market and will launch a new model every six months.
Pioneer Moto Corp is the authorized distributor of Nissan in Nepal. The Nissan Magnite compact SUV has been performing well in the Nepali market. The three new models planned for India are also expected to arrive in Nepal soon after their launch in India.
