KATHMANDU: Zeekr is preparing for the European launch of its high-performance electric wagon 007 GT.
The premium EV brand under China’s Geely Group, which also owns Volvo, Polestar and Lotus, Zeekr is positioned to rival luxury carmakers like BMW and Audi. Zeekr models are gaining recognition for their its attractive design, powerful performance and advanced technology.
The Zeekr 007 GT is built on Geely’s Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA) platform. It features an 800-volt system that supports ultra-fast charging up to 500 kW, enabling the battery to add 500 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging. The car is offered in two battery options: a 75 kWh battery with a driving range of up to 650 km and a 100 kWh battery delivering up to 825 km of driving range based on China’s CLTC standard.
Comparable in size to the BMW 3 Series or Tesla Model 3, the 007 GT stands out with its distinctive wagon-style design which blends futuristic styling with practicality. The interior combines digital innovation with traditional physical controls, catering to drivers who value both modern tech and traditional controls.
Under the hood, the 007 GT boasts dual electric motors that produce producing 637 hp, offering quick acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.95 seconds. Despite being a high-performance vehicle, the 007 GT does not compromise on comfort, making the car well-suited for urban driving.

As Zeekr gradually expands its presence in Nepal, EV enthusiasts are hopeful that the 007 GT will also arrive in the country.
The car is priced in the range of $27,610 to $35,780 in China which is significantly lower than many similar western brands. Although the price will be comparatively higher in the European market, it will still be able to complete with the likes of BMW i4 and Audi Q4 e-tron.
Zeekr has already entered the Nepali market. The Zeekr X, a compact luxury EV featuring a 66 kWh battery and a 200 kW rear-wheel-drive system, has enjoyed considerable success in Nepal. It currently ranks among the most premium electric vehicles available in the country.
As Zeekr gradually expands its presence in Nepal, EV enthusiasts are hopeful that the 007 GT will also arrive in the country. If launched, the model could appeal to buyers looking for a long-range, fast-charging EV with luxury features – at a competitive price.
The availability of premium models from Tesla, BMW, MG and Porsche in Nepal shows the demand for premium electric vehicles is growing in the domestic market. Zeekr 007 GT could emerge as a strong contender in Nepal by offering premium facilities at competitive prices.
If the car indeed comes to Nepal, it may have to undergo technical modifications to suit local conditions, such as increased ground clearance and a focus on rear-wheel-drive versions, as import duties here are based on motor capacity.
