KATHMANDU: Chinese automobile brand Chery is becoming more aggressive with its dealer network expansion in Nepal.
Pioneer Motocorp, the official distributor of Chery in Nepal, has invited applications for dealerships in 17 locations across the country. The company plans to strengthen its presence in major cities from east to west.
In the Kathmandu Valley, Chery is seeking dealers in Koteshwor, Maharajgunj, Kalanki, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
Outside the Valley, the company is looking for dealers in Birtamode, Biratnagar and Itahari in Koshi Province. It is also seeking dealers in Janakpur and Birgunj in Madhesh Province.
Similarly, Chery plans to expand its network to Pokhara in Gandaki Province; Narayanghat, Butwal, Bhairahawa and Dang in Lumbini Province; Nepalgunj in Karnali Province; and Dhangadhi in Sudurpashchim Province.
The company says the expansion will make Chery’s modern and technology-focused vehicles more accessible to customers across Nepal.
Chery recently showcased its new crossover SUV, the Chery Q, at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The model was among the major attractions at the expo.
During the expo, Pioneer Motocorp announced an introductory price of Rs. 3.1 million for the entry-level Chery Q. The company positioned the model as a value-for-money electric crossover.
The Chery Q is powered by a 90 kW electric motor that produces 115 Nm of torque. It comes with a 41.3 kWh LFP battery pack.
According to the company, the electric crossover can deliver a range of up to 400 km on a single charge.
