KATHMANDU: BYD has released official interior images of the 2026 Yangwang U8 luxury SUV, with the model priced from $140,000 in China.
The cabin focuses on luxury and advanced technology, offering front and rear seats with electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, memory, massage functions, four-way electric lumbar adjustment, electric leg rests, and height-adjustable headrests.
The SUV also includes a built-in car refrigerator with cooling and insulation functions, an advanced air purification system with PM2.5 detection and filtration, high-temperature sterilization, and a negative ion generator, along with the DiLink 300 intelligent cockpit system.
The Yangwang U8 is equipped with an extensive display setup, including a 12.8-inch OLED curved central touchscreen, a 23.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 23.6-inch passenger entertainment display, two 12.8-inch rear floating multimedia screens, and a 7-inch rear armrest control screen.

Additional technology features include a streaming rearview mirror, AR-HUD head-up display, AI-powered voice control, microphone-free karaoke system, and a UWB digital key.
In terms of powertrain, the SUV uses a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with BYD’s YiSiFang four-motor electric drive system and the company’s second-generation Blade Battery.

Each electric motor produces up to 220 kW, giving the vehicle a combined output of 880 kW (around 1,180 hp) and 1,520 Nm of torque. The SUV offers a CLTC-rated electric driving range of 230 km and a total combined range of up to 1,205 km, positioning it as one of the most technologically advanced luxury off-road SUVs in the Chinese market.
