KATHMANDU: Vida, the electric scooter brand of Hero MotoCorp, is set to start sales in Nepal from July 2026. CG Motors, the official distributor of Hero products in Nepal, will introduce Vida electric scooters in the Nepali market.

The company is currently testing the Vida V2 electric scooter in Nepal. However, CG Motors has not revealed the exact variant being tested.

CG Motors Managing Director Nirvana Chaudhary confirmed that the Vida electric brand will be launched in Nepal in July. He said Vida products are expected to meet the demand for quality electric two-wheelers among Nepali customers.

Before entering Nepal, Vida scooters gained attention in India for their battery technology, range, and features. The Vida V2 is expected to compete with models from brands like Ather Energy, Bajaj Auto Chetak, TVS Motor Company iQube, and other electric scooters.

In India, the Vida V2 is available with different battery options, including 2.2 kWh, 3.44 kWh, and 3.94 kWh packs. Depending on the variant, it offers an IDC-tested range of 94 km, 143 km, and 165 km.

The scooter comes with features such as multiple riding modes, a 7-inch TFT display, keyless function, LED lighting, and regenerative braking.

Vida is Hero MotoCorp’s dedicated electric vehicle brand. The company also offers more affordable models such as the Vida VX2 in India.

The electric scooter market in Nepal has been growing due to increasing fuel prices and rising demand for low-cost mobility solutions. With its range, removable battery, and practical features, the Vida V2 could become a strong option for daily commuters.

The removable battery system allows users to charge the battery separately, making it convenient for people living in apartments or homes with shared parking areas.
