KATHMANDU: The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA) has called its 49th annual general meeting for December 24.
The decision was made during the association’s 24th Central Working Committee meeting held on Monday, December 1.
According to NADA, the main agenda of the upcoming meeting will be the proposal to transform the association into a federation. The general meeting will take place at The Plaza, Lalitpur.
Earlier, NADA had called a special general meeting on September 9 with the same proposal. However, the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, directed the association to halt the event after a dissatisfied group filed a complaint claiming that the meeting was called illegally.
With a history of more than five decades, NADA is now preparing to move toward a federation through its regular annual general meeting.
The association currently includes members involved in vehicle importing, dealership operations, spare parts, tires, lubricants, and other automotive-related businesses.
