KATHMANDU: Proton’s e.MAS 7 has completed nine months in the Nepali market, and Jagadamba Motors has now placed the model in a strong “price-war” position. The compact electric SUV is available in two variants; Prime and Premium.
The Premium variant continues at Rs 6.79 million, while the Prime variant now comes with a 1-million-rupee discount, bringing its price down from Rs 5.69 million to Rs 4.69 million. According to the company, this is one of the biggest cash offers available on an EV priced below 6 million.
The price cut has been announced through an exchange camp at Attic, Dhumbarahi, which runs until today.
Monthly installment now Rs 42,560
The e.MAS 7 Prime falls in the 4.6-meter segment and is positioned as one of the most value-focused compact electric SUVs. With the revised price, buyers need a 40% down payment of Rs 1.87 million, while the remaining Rs 2.81 million is available as a bank loan.
Even at a 7% interest rate, a seven-year loan results in a monthly installment of around Rs 42,560.
