KATHMANDU: The third edition of the MeroAuto Ride with Professionals is set to begin this Friday, November 20, bringing together corporate professionals and motorcycle enthusiasts for a two-day journey aimed at promoting domestic tourism.

Organized annually by Automotives Pvt. Ltd., this year’s ride will cover a scenic yet less-explored route from Kathmandu to Kharidhunga in Dolakha.

Riders will flag off from Bhrikutimandap at 9 AM, traveling through Dhulikhel, Panchkhal, Dolalghat, Khadichaur, and Mude before reaching their final destination.

According to Managing Director Hari Gajurel, the MeroAuto Ride has evolved into a platform that connects professionals from Nepal’s corporate sector while spotlighting rural destinations that often go unnoticed.

“We’ve been organizing this ride for the past three years. Our goal is to highlight tourism spots that haven’t received much attention and to engage corporate professionals in promoting them,” Gajurel said, adding that the event will continue in the coming years.

This year’s ride will also feature a range of entertainment and sports activities, enhancing the overall experience for participants.

The event has received support from major motorcycle brands, including Royal Enfield, Hero, Bajaj, Yamaha, TVS, and Honda. Hedz Helmets, under the Shree Amba Group, is serving as the helmet partner, while Dhulikhel Mountain Resort (DMR) has joined as the hospitality partner.

The MeroAuto Ride first began in 2023 with a ride to Patale, Solukhumbu, followed by last year’s edition held in Brabal, Rasuwa. This year’s journey continues the tradition of exploring new destinations while strengthening the community of motorcycling professionals.
