KATHMANDU: Yadea Nepal has unveiled its first electric motorcycle in Nepal.
The company introduced the ‘Keeness’ electric motorcycle, designed with a naked sports aesthetic, at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo, which kicked off yesterday.
Kuzu Nepal, the official distributor for Yadea Electric in Nepal, has started selling the motorcycle with a price tag of Rs 660,000.
The Yadea Keeness motorcycle is equipped with an 11 kW peak power motor, generating 280 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 100 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in 4 seconds. The motorcycle has a climbing capacity of 20 degrees.
Yadea has provided two 72-volt, 32Ah lithium-ion battery packs for this motorcycle. The company claims it can travel up to 150 km on a single full charge.
The motorcycle features an inverted front suspension and a mono-shock rear suspension. Both wheels are equipped with disc brakes and the company has included a CBS (Combined Braking System) safety feature.
