KATHMANDU: Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributor of TVS Motor Company in Nepal, is preparing to launch the TVS Apache RTX 300, the brand’s first adventure touring motorcycle, in the Nepali market.

The motorcycle is set to arrive in Nepal around nine months after its launch in India. According to Jagdamba Motors, the RTX 300 is currently undergoing road testing at various locations across the country. Sources say all three variants available in the Indian market have already been brought to Nepal.

The company is expected to officially unveil the motorcycle soon, although it has not announced a launch date. Industry sources indicate that the RTX 300 is likely to make its Nepali debut at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, scheduled to begin on August 11.

As TVS’ first dedicated adventure (ADV) motorcycle, the RTX 300 has gained significant attention in India within a short period, thanks to its competitive pricing and feature-rich package. The model is expected to set a new benchmark in Nepal’s growing adventure touring motorcycle segment.

Built on an all-new platform

The RTX 300 is underpinned by TVS’ new-generation RT-XD4 engine platform, which has been developed specifically for adventure riding. The company says the motorcycle has been designed to handle a wide range of road conditions. It features an all-new frame, chassis and overall design, while equipment levels vary depending on the variant.

The motorcycle features a semi-faired adventure tourer design with a full LED headlamp setup, tall windscreen, muscular tank extensions, high-mounted front beak, bumper guards, chunky knuckle guards, side guards, luggage mounting points, rear luggage rack, bash plate, brushed golden finish on the engine casing, black alloy wheels and a long-travel suspension setup, giving it a rugged yet sporty appearance.

Powering the RTX 300 is a newly developed 299.1cc, single-cylinder, four-valve, liquid-cooled, DOHC RT-XD4 engine. It produces 35 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and comes equipped with a quick shifter and slipper and assist clutch as standard.

The RTX 300 rides on a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear alloy wheel, wrapped in block-pattern tubeless tires. Suspension duties are handled by WP upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock, while braking is managed by dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS as standard.

The motorcycle is equipped with a comprehensive list of premium features, including a full LED lighting system, 5-inch TFT instrument console, smartphone connectivity with companion app, navigation and map mirroring, call and SMS alerts, music controls, multiple riding modes, traction control, cruise control, wheelie mitigation, electronic throttle system for adventure riding, and terrain-adaptive ABS.
