KATHMANDU: Leapmotor’s new compact hatchback B05 has been spotted with its interior revealed. It is already available for blind pre-orders in China.
It will make its official debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2025.
Inside, the design looks similar to the B01 sedan. It has a large central touchscreen, a small digital display for the driver and a dual-spoke steering wheel. The center console includes a wireless charging pad. Cabin space is expected to be close to the B01.

From the outside, the B05 follows Leapmotor’s usual style. Key features include a full-width LED strip at the front, frameless doors, hidden handles and 19-inch wheels. Buyers can also choose between a LiDAR-based driver assistance system or a camera-only setup.
The car is built on the LEAP 3.5 platform, the same as the B10 crossover. Power options are expected to match the B10, with single-motor versions of 132 kW or 160 kW. Deliveries in China are planned for late 2025. A sportier B05 Ultra will follow in 2026.
The B05 will be sold as the Lafa 5 in the Chinese market. It will compete with compact electric hatchbacks like the BYD Dolphin, MG 4 and VW ID.3
