KATHMANDU: Nissan has recalled the 2025 model of the Magnite SUV in Saudi Arabia after detecting brake-related issues.
According to the Japanese automaker, a total of 1,552 units have been recalled.
The Magnite facelift, manufactured in India, generated considerable buzz when it was launched earlier this year. Nissan had simultaneously rolled out both right-hand drive (RHD) and left-hand drive (LHD) variants. The recall specifically affects the LHD version exported to Saudi Arabia.
According to Nissan, it decided to recall the cars as insufficient clearance between the brake pipe and the heat shield could lead to brake fluid leakage and reduced braking performance which increases the risk of accidents.
Nissan has requested that customers in Saudi Arabia visit the nearest service center for repairs. The company has said that all 1,552 affected units will be repaired free of cost.

No such issues have been reported with the RHD Magnite sold in India so far.
According to Nissan, although the Magnite models sold in India and Saudi Arabia are largely identical, the driver’s position differs—RHD in India and LHD in Saudi Arabia—which changes the routing of the brake fluid pipe.
Nissan has said that it does not expect the issue detected in Saudi Arabia to affect the Indian market.
