KATHMANDU: A prototype of KTM’s first electric motorcycle, the E-Duke, has been spotted in Austria. KTM stunt rider Rok Bagros showed images of the bike on his Instagram page.

Styled as a street-fighter, the E-Duke marks KTM’s entry into the electric two-wheeler segment. While the company has not officially disclosed technical specifications, media reports suggest the bike will be powered by a 5.5 kWh battery pack paired with a 10 kW electric motor, offering a range of around 100 kilometers.

The E-Duke is built on a new subframe and showcases aggressive bodywork with a distinctive headlight design. It shares its platform with the 390 Duke, and carries over several signature components, including trellis frame, aluminum swingarm, offset rear monoshock, alloy wheels, chain drive, disc brakes and ABS.

The other features of the Duke’s electric variant are the long handlebars, a 4.3-inch TFT display, an onboard fast charger, and a scooter-style rear brake hand lever. It also sports MotoGP-inspired air scoops and a 3D-printed seat.

KTM is likely to manufacture the E-Duke at its Indian production facility.
