Jaecoo J6T review: bold new design meets a more refined drive

KATHMANDU: SPG Automobiles has started sales of the facelifted Jaecoo J6T in Nepal. The updated model comes with noticeable design changes. It also feels different to drive compared to the previous version.

The vehicle was tested across multiple locations in the Kathmandu Valley. The drive also covered Kusadevi in ​​Kavre. During the test, it was driven on paved roads, gravel sections, muddy tracks, and slippery surfaces.

The J6T performed well on uphill off-road sections like Lakuri Bhanjyang. It also handled mixed road conditions between Lakuri and Manedovan efficiently. Overall performance feels improved over the older model.

The front fascia has been significantly updated. It now gets a more muscular front bumper. Changes are also visible at the rear section.

The rear cargo area design has been revised. The rear bumper also gets an updated look. Ground clearance has increased by 25 mm. It now stands at 225 mm, up from 200 mm in the previous model.

The width has been increased by 10 mm. This results in slightly better cabin space. The steering wheel has also been updated. It feels more comfortable to use.

The cabin is designed as a lifestyle-focused space. It includes elements suited for off-road driving. Overall, the facelifted J6T shows improvements in both design and driving dynamics compared to the previous version.
