KATHMANDU: MAW Vriddhi has been honored with the ‘Pioneer in New Energy Promotion Award’ for Foton Commercial Vehicles.
The recognition was presented during the Foton Global Conference 2026 in Beijing, an event attended by representatives from more than 140 countries. The award marks a proud achievement for Nepal, highlighting the country’s growing role in the global EV landscape.
Nepal has emerged as one of Foton’s key electric vehicle markets. Foton currently stands in the second position in Nepal’s commercial EV segment an indication of the nation’s progress toward sustainable transportation.
The award was handed over by Foton Motor Vice President Qin Zhidong and received by MAW Vriddhi Managing Director Vivek Sikariya. The company noted that the achievement reflects the collective effort, dedication, and shared vision of all employees, partners, and associates contributing to Foton’s success in Nepal.
MAW Vriddhi expressed gratitude to its team and Foton for their continued trust and partnership. With joint efforts, Nepal is steadily advancing toward electric mobility and strengthening its position as a growing EV hub in South Asia.
