KATHMANDU: Chinese company Dreame Technology has announced its entry into the ultra-luxury electric vehicle market.
The company revealed on August 28 that its first electric hypercar will be launched in 2027 and will directly compete with the Bugatti Veyron.
Dreame has also shown early designs of two models: one that resembles the Bugatti Chiron and another SUV inspired by the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The SUV will feature a 3.2-meter wheelbase, coach doors and a fully electric powertrain.
Dreame has already received overseas orders worth more than about 2.1 billion USD, according to company. The announcement came during its first strategic partner conference, which included 54 dealerships from 22 countries.
Strong interest has been reported from distributors in the Middle East and Central Asia. The company says it will follow an “ecosystem plus” model to expand globally, aiming to establish dealerships in up to 200 countries and regions.
